    papa's father:   Thomas G Burgett  born - Apr. 10,  1850  - died  Mar. 24,  1935
    papa's mother: Mary E Shaw  born - Sept. 28,  1852  - died  Sept. 12, 1914
    Married :  27 Sep 1870 Blount Co, Al - NOTE:  I went to Blount County and on their marriage license there is a hand written note where John J, had to sign permission for Thomas G to marry Mary Shaw.   Also, there was a $200 bond that had to be signed for them to wed.

papa's grandfather:   John J. Burgett  -  born 1821,  died 1895
papa's grandmother: Sarah P (Mardis) Burgett  -  born 1826,  died 1887   ( according to tombstones in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in McClarty AL )
